Action Alert: National Simultaneous Rallies in Local Areas

Purpose: Public. Building bigger coalitions of multiple family rights organizations and activists at all local levels. Also, to take advantage of existing public events, and of any media that will already be at those same events. By established custom of U.S. Presidential Proclamations, and etc., the week of Dec 10-15 this year is "Human Rights Week", and Dec 15, itself, is "Bill of Rights Day"...

Locations: Nationwide, in any and every USA county and independent city that has a Team Leader listed on the UCRCoA Local Groups webpage. The overall goal is to have one rally happen in at least each of these 259 cities sometime during the targeted timeframe, and even more places as other Team Leaders out there become ready.

Preferred rally locations are (a) a local patriotic or similar publicly-visible landmark (b) your local federal courthouse (c) your local county courthouse (d) any other good and publicly-visible spot.

Dates/Times: The listed Team Leader selects exact dates/times for best local event within Dec 10-15 timeframe, and exact local meeting place and rally location, along with any input from their own local county/city Yahoo Group members. Final location/dates/times ToBeDetermined on the local Yahoo county/city Group. If you cannot find information first at the county level, check with your State Board Directors.

Messages: Each rally is intended to represent a good cross-section of family rights organizations and activists, including the plights of noncustodial parents, child protection services victims, paternity fraud victims, and the children of any of those government systems. As such, all normal family rights messages are encouraged, in order to make the most out of the public and media available at your local event. Our other message is a showing of unity, that "this" rally is happening along with many others just like it, all across the country.

Miscellaneous:
If you would like to make up to 10 free hi-quality posters or large signs, this Poster 7.9w software is just the ticket for you and your friends to show up in style. Combines graphics with text and special effects, if desired, to make posters/signs just about as big as you ever wanted... max 100 feet x 100 feet! (automatically prints out all the separate 8.5x11 pages with cut lines, to make the whole image on paper, super-sized). Free trial allows up to 10 total printings, or finished posters/signs, before wanting a registration.

Whenever possible, please carpool to the event, and try to arrange some carpooling via the local county Yahoo Group. Please also consider if you can DRESS UP your car, truck, or minivan, so that the PUBLIC also SEES your message(s) while you're on your way to the event. Credit to Lary Holland for ensuring we don't forget to leverage this marketing aspect, and let's add some more ideas to the kitty:
(1) use the soap/paint markers/crayons to hand write your FAMILY RIGHTS message(s) on the outside panels and/or on the windows of your minivan or maxivan. Watch the vehicle paint... windows are best!
(2) use Avery's 8.5x11 magnet printer sheets -- print your color design on one or more letter sized magnet sheets (cut out designs with regular scissors if needed), and simply stick it to the metal of your vehicle. Product description is http://tinyurl.com/3a33zd and they are actually available at Wal-Mart for about $8 for a 5-sheet package.
(3) use Avery's 8.5x11 window sticker printer sheets to do the same thing (on your windows only). Product description is http://tinyurl.com/2g7mxn and they are actually available at Wal-Mart for about $5 for a 3-sheet package.

And, last, but certainly not least, always spread the word!
