Greetings:
For a few years, April 25th has been
designated and celebrated for being Parental Alienation Awareness Day
(PAAD).
TODAY, November 18th,
2008, marked a *solid* progression date for increasing Parental
Alienation Awareness within and across all of America, as West Virginia Governor
Joe Manchin III had invited various family rights activists to come on down to
Charleston, and have a real nice meeting and rather involved photo session with
him, in recognition of his signing the West Virginia
Parental Alienation Awareness Day Proclamation earlier this year. Several U.S. Governors have already
issued their own PAAD, too, but Governor Manchin is the first such Governor
to make sure his staff accomplished the follow up request for photos (sent
in thank you response after any U.S. state or lower PAAD
proclamation is signed), to publicly announce his support via the photo
session and so forth. Today was a great day for raising awareness of
parental alienation behaviors and their damages to the American Family.
Obviously, we will use the new photos and success to encourage other signing
Governors to do the same now, and to also to better encourage those other
Governors who have not issued their own PAAD proclamations as of
yet.
On behalf of the family rights movement, at least
two dozen activists from at least 5 different States attended, including the
homebase West Virginia MAWAD leaders, Tim
Fittro and Teresa Lowe (Teresa was instrumental in getting the PAAD proclamation
actually signed by Gov Manchin), and some of the PAAO-US National Board Directors from around the Nation, including
Theresa Martin, Teresa Lowe, Pamela Wright, and Torm Howse. Attending members
Fred Schuler and Russ Kessler of Fathers-4-Justice proudly sported their F4J
spirit and gear. Many of the family rights people there today are
also dual-time as active state and county leaders of United Civil Rights
Councils of America (UCRCoA). In
addition, several other MAWAD activists from West Virginia also dressed up in
their Sunday best, being joined by all these various family rights activists
from across the Eastern U.S., looking "sharp and casual" for today's auspicious ceremonies.
Governor Manchin and his staff were
extremely hospitable, gracious, and seemed
very willing to spend much more additional time talking
(and more and more photos, of course) with all of the various supporters who
came to show solidarity for the integrity and protection of the American Family,
than they did for the previous similar engagement regarding pancreatic cancer...
like at least 5 times as long... While several other people there will have much
better pictures, posting soon, than what seemed to end up on my cheapie camera,
you can get the first glimpses of everyone who came today and rubbed elbows with
the Gov, by visiting the WV PAAD folder of pictures and VIDEO, located
